Why Anet Dosent make Questing titles?
Why ArenaNet Dosent make Questing titles?
They can add 4 Questing titles prophcies, factions, nightfall, gwen
plus legendary title.
and then they can add 1 tier for the Kind of A Big Deal title

that would be incredibly complicated given alot of quests are campaign specific.
i.e Then and now, here and there.

Too late in the game and too complicated, dev wise.
These are the kind of things implemented during a game's production. Not aftermath.
Maybe we'll see it in the future now that there's more devs in the team.
But don't hold your breath.

I would wholeheartedly HATE if they added such titles. I purposedly refuse to do any sidequests that don't offer special unique rewards (namely GW:EN skills) because in GW having a quest done permanently gimps a character, making him never again able to access a part of content, especially some specific mob spawns. Rewarding for permanently hurting a character is BAD.

I'd simply like 1 legendary quest hunter title, so I can reach GWAMM without having to grind the kurzick faction title.

It shouldnt be that hard to include. The game remembers that a player has completed a quest, hence you dont always see the green exclamation mark above an npc. Transmitting that data across to a title slot shouldnt be that hard?
For repeatable quests though? Include after 1 completion, or exclude?

has been suggested before nothing new to the request forums.... would be too hard and complicated but perhaps go and ask the fine people at gw2guru to include this in the game they might not yet be far enough along to add this in. but for gw 1 its too little too late mate.

Well, i think it would be easier to reduce the points needed to max Kurzick/Luxon, Party Animal, and similar titles..
Because the only reason behind a questing title is to make getting GWAMM easier..

How many of you have ever bothered doing all the quests in GW? I remember that I was doing alot of those with my 1st char, but later? I didn't bother anymore. I think it would be fun if there was a title for Quest Hunting, although 4 is way too much. If doing all quests across all campaigns would grant you 1 max title I say it'd be really cool. It would also bring some new life to the game (just as zaishen quests did) and it would allow players to have a reason to deepen more into the world and story of GW.

Because Anet finally realized that titles were a terrible idea in the first place, but it really is too late to take them out.

No retroactivity.
Like the treasure hunter title, this would not be retroactive because prior to this the GW's servers would have no reason to record however many quests you have done, meaning all quests you have done already would not be counted. That's particularly bad since most quests are not repeatable. What's somebody who has beaten all or most of the quests in the game supposed to do besides grind out repeatable quests to get this title? Unlike treasure hunter, there is a limited number of quests available (abiet, a very high number). That's why we don't have this title.

Do you think GW has some magic way of knowing whether an NPC should offer his quest to a particular character without a record being kept of what is done? The records are already there. Counting them would be trivially easy.

As much as I would like a title that was easy to get, and fun to do, I don't see anyway for this to be possible. I didn't even bring up the quests that are class specific, or the quests that are not repeatable. The only point of doing this would be to make GWAMM easier, and it shouldn't be easier, nor should it be easy at all (technically it is easy, just time consuming/expensive).

While each quest does have a trigger to activate, I doubt quests that are completed are recorded as such, its just that the trigger to activate them is no longer met.

The title could be continent specific.
Tyrian Mercenary: Complete [this much] of [certain] Tyria quests. Tyrians only.
Canthan Mercenary: Complete [this much] of... and so on.
Make one exclude the others - if you progress into one.. the other titles never show up.

Yes. -And even if was somehow implemented you would probably have to start a new char to get it.

It would have been good if it was planned from the start. Now there would be so many things to take into account and retroactively fix that it would take forever to implement.

This question has bugged us for the longest time, although a good idea it's to late now. This way people would actually explore more. Who knows maybe in GW2 or something.

Quest are party of history lines and for that matter you have protector and guardian , i think its redundant and now its too late to even think about it.
